The Riviera
StoryIn the early 2000’s, the holiday home market in Goa was only just starting to find its feet. Armed with opportunity and the aim of introducing an aspirational lifestyle to Goa, enriched by the very best in architecture and design, Riviera was founded by brothers, Agnelo and Francisco De Braganca.
Riviera launched “The Arpora Village”, a vibrant lakeside community comprising 14 villas and 16 apartments. Our initial homes, a collection of row villas and apartments, served as a place for Europeans seeking respite from harsh winters to call home.
In paying homage to the states’ rich colonial heritage, the façade of each villa featured the unique ‘Ajulejos’, a form of Portuguese painted ceramic tilework, which subsequently went on to become the hallmark of a large number of Riviera homes.
The Group continued to expand, and in 2007 forayed into hospitality with the launch of its maiden 5-star hotel “Riviera De Goa”.
We partnered with the Hilton Group of Hotels to bring to you “Double Tree by the Hilton”, Goa’s very first Hilton.
Over a decade later, having meticulously crafted more than 100 exceptional homes, all of which were sold off-plan with a record 100% on-time delivery, Riviera became renowned for the uncompromising quality of its homes, unflinching ethics, and commitment to sustainable development.
A testament to Riviera’s quality and commitment to build lasting relationships is apparent in the fact that by 2015 over 65% of our home-owners were repeat buyers.
In keeping with our commitment to sustainable luxury and conscious living, we introduced “MansionHaus”, a 19th century former private residence meticulously restored into a Hotel & Private Members Club. Bold and exciting, it encapsulates a heady mix of classical references and contemporary design.
